What about 0 socks, Lace doesn't have any white ?!

Our PC rule is that hair must be in a hairnet due to hair being loose, in a pony tail, plaited may be dangerous.
I always put my hair in a bun or in a hairnet!

Years ago I heard more than one person say that New Forest ponies are immune to acorn poisoning! That has surely got to be rubbish, I do have a reg New Forest pony but I am not going to test the theory!

How are we meant to wear our hair then? Riding is soo confusing!

I put mine up in a hairnet and wrap a scrunchie around it - I wear a baseball cap when I'm not riding!

Is it true that a horse with a good walk automatically has a good canter?? Is there any reason to assume this is true or not?

I've heard that before, I'd take it as true-ish given the way the horse's legs move...

A myth I've come across is the one where you can value your horse according to how many times it rolls over from one side to the other...

chestnut mares hmm, well mine can be crabby with others but not really with me, I wouldn't say she is bad tempered as such. she is very opinionated, complex and strong willed. I think that is normal for red haired women tho, and she is Irish so probably makes it worse.
I have heard the horse to steer clear of is an Irish chestnut mare with 4 white socks, oops lol

Never thought of the plait thing, i wear mine in a pony tail mostly but in a plait sometimes. might not from now on.

Never heard the saddle before the bridle thing, i always put the saddle on first.

so looks like i am doing it all wrong then, maybe that is why i got chucked off, stood on and my front teeth broken last week!!!

haha, some of these made me smile! My baby has big ears, will have to see on the speed thing though! she's got the sweetest temperament so maybe there's some truth to that myth!
I always put the bridle on first because I ride with a martingale!

Definately agree with the big ears/big heart my Irish has donkey ears too and is like an overgrown puppy dog.
And unfortunatly have to agree with the chestnut mare theory too, my first pony was the "typical" moody hot headed chestnut mare, but that spark got her to 44 so it wasnt all bad.
