From: " Are we allowed to" thread, it seems so , so - here goes.

One of the girls on my yard lost her horse 4 weeks ago. He'd had a tough life and she gave him 6 lovely years at the end, but his coffin joints gradually got worse. She tried everything, but to no avail so...

She's looking for another, but really hasn't much money to buy. However, when she has them, they want for nothing, her box is immaculate and I would say they are the first thing she thinks of in the morning and the last thing at night. I look after her horse in the morning Monday to Friday as she has to be at work for about 5am! The yard we are at has 24/7 turnout if you wish all year, good boxes, a school and 100 acres to ride in, plus bridle paths off the farm.

Her ideal (not easy, before you say anything!) would be TB type, good to hack alone and in company, not scatty, 16hh/ish mare or gelding and not too old, as she doesn't want to go through the heartache again too quickly. (I know there are no guarantees with horses, but I get her point).

We're near Banbury, so anything within say 45 mins to 1hr.

Any thoughts, please PM me and I'll pass it along. Thankies!!

Hi FduC,

I did contact her, but the gg is in Devon which is a tad too far, I'm afraid! Sounded just the ticket though! :)

ooo someone on here put some posts earlier on a gorgeous TB she was selling for £1,900. Cant remember her user name! Lush horse though!! Does your friend want a youngster?

Hi Firewall!

Thanks :) I did see that and it's a beautiful horse but out of her price range. That's why this is such a difficult search. I have no idea how much she spent on vet bills for the last one, to try and find something, anything to make him better but it means she has very little to buy with.

I guess what I am hoping to find for her is something like Monster's horse in Devon - a sweet natured, nice horse who really needs a great, loving home for life. Nothing too challenging, just sane, sensible, and in need of a good owner.
