any ideas here would be useful.
Horsey has suddenly taken a dislike to having his girth done up. You can put the saddle on him fine, but as soon as you even touch him with the girth he starts arching his back and moving around. once you get it on the first hole, you have to walk him around, then he lets you do it up another one, and when you are on him, he is fine with it.
He has only been doing this for a couple of weeks. He is fine to brush round his girth, and I have run my hands over where his saddle and girth go, there are no lumps, and he doesnt flinch away from me.
He also did this the same time last year, so I was wondering if it was maybe down to the loss of his winter coat, and being a TB maybe he feels it a bit, although he the biggest girls blouse ever known, and does tend to overdramatise things!
I use an ordinary girth with a prolite sleeve over it (and have been doing for the past year), and there is nothing to stick into him on the girth, I have checked.
Any ideas???
