I have a speedy cob, and my sister has a 16h welsh pony!
Have to disagree, the most intelligent horse I ever had was a Dutch Warmblood. Currently have a Hanoverian who is a very smart cookie. I don't understand why they are so often thought to be dumb. These two warmblood mares don't suffer fools gladly and have challenged my own brain power by trying to work out what makes them tick. Once able to work out where they are coming from, learnt how to ask them and get a dialogue going, they only need to be shown something once before the penny drops.
They weren't saying 'I don't understand', it was more likely 'why should I do this for you ?'.

Stretching the tread :-
Genuine reason for sale - yes, there is, he killed his previous owner!
Lightly hunted - only went once where he overtook the Master and the fox and has been banned for life.
Bold over country - yes, mostly without his rider - alternatively : I've seen livelier sleeping pills.
Four uphill paces - yep, his back legs are six inches shorter than the fronts.
Not a novice ride - check your insurance policy for self inflicted wound cover.
Ridden by teenager - ah, well we had Bruno, the nineteen year old Russian special forces guy sit on him for a bit - till he was thrown off.
