I left school, went to do my A levels because that was the ‘right’ thing to do. I applied to uni to do business management because again I thought it was the ‘right’ thing to do…. Then I lost my Dad. My world fell apart and I decided doing the ‘right’ thing to do flew out the window. I declined all 3 of my uni offers and got a place doing a equine science degree whilst working as a groom. I’ve been a groom ever since and I love it. I’ve got two of my own horses, I hunt one and the other is a glorified happy hack. At 19 I decided that life is too short to be miserable, yes I’ll never be rich - but I genuinely love my job and love my lifestyle.
