ok, so its a close friends/ instructors birthday next week, and i need to get her a nice present. she's in her thirties and lives and breathes horses.
has anyone got any ideas of what i could get her? i always seem to get her the usual (ie a nice horsey jumper or item of clothing) but i want to get her something a little bit different?? im really stumped. any ideas much appreciated!!!

Horsey jewellery? HiHo Silver are especially nice I think and very reasonably priced. Or, something like Tailend jewellery - which you can create with pieces of her own horses mane/tail - that might be more personal?

Or, if you have access to a lot of nice horsey photographs of her and her horse(s), what about putting one or two in a nice frame or more in a nice photo album?

Does she have lessons herself? Maybe book her some lessons/clinics with an instructor she uses (or would want to use) that is perhaps too pricey for an every day type lesson?

thanks, ill consider them brushes

umm, i thought about what i'd like to receive...
if she's got any back problems at all, and hasn't got 1 yet, a Prolite back support, it's an absolute saviour if i'm having a bad back day, for horse chores and riding.
what about a really snazzy new hat cover in her colours, you could get 1 specially made, very personal. or, you could ask her to choose design and colours and then get it done. even if she doesn't xc, it would be really nice for hacking out imho.
umm, lovely pair of gloves, macwets or similar. fancy stock or something if those don't cost enough...
tickets for Badders, or the Dr Nationals, or Scope, HOYS or whatever (her particular fave discipline), or 1 ticket for her, 1 for you (and other friends?) and all go together...
or, just ticket(s) for her and one of you promise to do her horse(s) for that day so she can go for the whole day...
lesson on a good schoolmaster, perhaps, i think most people would love this.
gosh i'm really good at spending other people's money! ;)
