Horsey terminology and irritating sayings

Okay I am no angel I finally thought of one I hate...

Chav, Chavvy

Hmm do people think they are so far above everyone else?

I hate it when people are referring to breeding and when asked who the stallion is happily say "he/she/it is out of".

No it is not to my mind the correct answer is said horse is by the stallion and out of the mare. Really annoys me.

Agree, hate seeing horse/ponies called "it"
100% bombproof and that wonderful generic term "sport horse"

anything to do with bits and legs - above/behind/on etc . . . .
"above the bit" WTF????

and I hate the term "breaking in" too. It might have been applicable in the days when horses were "broken", i.e just get on it and hammer it round until it gives up (hang on though, that sounds like like the cackers round my way - that's just how they start their youngsters!)

I also dont like "breaking in", but I also dont like "backing" - Im not sure why, doesnt leave me with much else to use though!

Also hate the use of "potential" in adverts, you cant say something has "masses of potential for show jumping" when its only jumped a 2'3 fence etc.
