Hi guys, a more general post here...

just wondering where everyone tends to get their horsie clothes from? things like gilets or joddys...and what people tend to wear for riding so they look generally normal but also practical for the job in hand!

in regards to joddys..does anyone know of an online/real shop that sells joddys with the different color down the inside of the leg and seat? iv looked in all my local shops but no where has them! im in northumberland...

Right, I buy most of my tops/jacket/gilets/body warmers from my feed merchant which is Wynnstay or Central Wool Growers.
My breeches (hate jodhpurs with a passion) on E-bay, Hope Valley saddlery or Larkhill.
My boots from Eland Lodge(Ariats) or E-bay - everything else.

For riding I wear breeches, short boots and gaiters, whatever top I fancy, hat and gloves - I'm not particularly worried about my looks to the outside/non horse world, happily shopping in my riding gear.

Try Derby House or Robinsons for two-tone jods.

Ooh, another Eland afficiendo

. I definately prefer breeches - I'll get them from anywhere that has a sale on

, I think the last ones came from Eland.

The big horse shows are good for clothing as well. I have some nice jods (which I cut the leg ends off

) from one, and very good for tee-shirts and fleeces. Also got child a Mark Todd jacket at a show at Arena UK last year.

im heading to Brahmam (not sure if thats the right spelling!) so im hoping for lots of horsie clothing there =] also getting my cross country colours first set yayy!

I like Joules for polo tops and breeches, Horseware and harry hall for jackets/fleeces.

Boots are Caldene/Toggi/Ariat....

I also like Horze.com ....their polo tops are very good quality.

I buy mainly on-line cos I detest shopping, but I am also going to Bramham again armed with OH and credit card.....

I like to go on holiday to Germany, so I buy breeches when I am there, because they have a mega selection in different sizes. You will find loads of colour variations in Pikeur and Cavallo. Try looking online instead.

Woo hoo! I just bought a pair of Caldene Belgrade breeches - brand new with tags - airforce blue with the checky sticky bums for £6.50 on EBay!

Jodphurs - robinsons and a local tack shop (rokers) .
Joules polo shirts and rugby top.
my boots are from gallop equestrian ( online shop ) and my half chaps are from Rokers .

I sometimes wear jeans with my boots and normal t-shirts from new look , topshop ect to the yard so its a mix of normal and horsie brands .

I buy most of my stuff from Saddle Up, the local saddlery, or occasionally Derby House because the Dundonald store is 25 minutes away.

I tend to wear pretty much any tshirts to the stables, but I like Joules polos.
Derby House or Harry Hall for jods.
Horseware, Joules, Equetech or Regatta for fleeces and jumpers.
Dublin and Mountain Horse for boots.
Le Chameau wellies all the way :D

For two-tone jods - Derby House, I have 2 pairs of the Phoenix ones, they're about £20 (I think), really comfy and hard wearing.

I don't have any 'horsey' branded tops.

I steal jumpers off whoever doesn't want them anymore, whether it's my dad, OH, i used to have them off my brother etc. Have never had to buy a horsey jumper. Other than that i just buy coumfy hoodies and jackets and tshirts from cheap shops such as dunnes, primark or matalan, or peacocks.

Don't see the point in spending lots to have snot and pooh wiped all over it. And they do look pretty normal, because that's what they were made for.

The only exception is coats. I love my Mark Todd jacket lots! And i have to buy childrens sized plain basic jods from robinsons because i'm only 5'1.

I kind of dont 'get' the Joules thing. Yes they are quite fun and distinctive, but hardly a snip.

I dont think I'm wedded to any particular brand, I tend to buy things when I go to shows. Also use Equestrian Clearance quite a lot.

My favourite winter jacket of all time is from Sherwood Forest. Its so old its in tatters and I might just have to go back and get a new one soon.

I like Musto tops, particularly their fleece which always seems much higher quality than others

My Woof muck boots have been superb and I would buy them again. Also love Equitector 'climate controlled' boots for winter riding. So lovely to have toasty warm feet when you get off (even if the rest of you is freezing!)
