I ordered a girth from them a week ago now. They took the money instantly, but the girth still hasnt arrived and its not a cheap girth!!.
I have emailed them, phoned them and have had no response from them at all.
Wouldnt be so bad....but the girth i have got hasnt got roller buckles and is destroying my new saddles girth straps...but no one on the yard has a girth short enough that i can borrow.

Has anyone used them.....or are they unreliable?? :confused:
 
Scary, I was just about to order a girth from them and thought I would check out any experiences on HHO first and at the of the New posts was this one. I shall wait for replies before ordering!

I am starting to wonder if i should have got it else where.

No reply to my email and no reply to my telephone call :-(
 
OK....so....have emailed a day or so ago....no reply.
Have used their online enquirey form......no reply.
Been trying to ring them for 2 days....always on ansaphone....left a messge.....no reply!
Tried again for the last 3 hours ago....no longer on answerphone.....just permanatly engaged........!
This is getting ridiculous....all i want to know is if my order has been shipped yet after waiting for it for a week! Is that too much to ask????

I have had the phone on redial all afternoon!!! Still whilst i have been distracted with that....i have managed to get a new heavyweight winter turnout rug in the sale.....every cloud and all that!!!:D

Lol.....an update......finally got through.....after literally trying all day! and get told i need to ring during office hours......!!!! ummmm i have been trying!

Wasnt sure on the status of my order....she will try and find out tomorrow and take it from there and hopefully get it sent out then if they have it in stock!
so a week later it still hasnt been dispatched! great!!!
 
I have used them on numerous occasions, it is a one woman business who has a small shop (but loads of stock) very near to where I live. My only suggestion is to keep trying on the phone, even in the early evening, as she also does saddle fitting and may be out and about. I have never got an email reply from her so I assume there is a glitch somewhere? All the stuff I buy I get direct from the shop though.
 
I'm in the same boat - I've been waiting several weeks for my girth from them - and I've done the emailing stuff and can't get through on the phone. I don't know why she's having a tough time but in the past she's been brilliant, and I would have praised her highly (think i did on here actually). Guess I'll have to hang on that phone til she picks up then.

If this is the one in Holt, Dorset it is best avoided she does not have a good reputation locally. I think as well there was a post here a few months ago about her saddle fitting skills!!!!!!!
 
Ok, just managed to get hold of her on the phone - she sounded irritated as I had come through to the shop and not the office (like that's my fault) and she got more cross as I explained that yes I had been trying on the phone for weeks, that I had emailed, that i had used their webform to contact her, etc etc. Anyway apparantly I should have got an email saying that the Pro Choice girths are out of stock (volcanic ash) til the end of the month etc. I said I hadn't and asked for a refund. Well we'll see if i get it - I've been waiting for the girth since 18 May. Ho hum. I'm so peed off - its been my supplier of these girths due to price and good service for ages, such a shame.:mad:
 
Must say I can't comment on saddle fitting as mine are all ridden in Western tack! Only ever bought rugs and bits and bobs from her.
 
Well.......to update!
When i finally got through, 10 days after the order i too got through to the "shop and not the office so she couldnt possibly tell me about the status of the order".....as with the person who posted above she didnt seem impressed about this. I was told i woud be rang back in the morning and told the status of my order. Sure enough no phone call, so 2 days later i rang and still had the same unhelpfull reception. I was told that no the product wasnt in stock and wouldnt be so what was i going to do about it?!?!?!
I pointed out that actually you cant take the money for a product that is out of stock at the time of order untill it is actually in stock (the money had been taken from my acount 2 days after the order was made) this aparently was my fault for paying at the time i placed the order?!?!?! i thought that is what you are meant to do???
I said that it was a bit off that i hadnt had anything to say that the product was out of stock after waiting for it for 10 days.
Anyway.....she said that i could have a refund or wait for the product, so i asked for a refund. Well that was 2 weeks ago and still no refund, despite me ringing again.

I am begining to wonder whether the refund will ever get repaid. Really not impressed with them at all.
 
how did you pay? if you payed by paypal then you can open a dispute-I am just doing that with an online company who seem to have shut up shop but who are still accepting payments.
 
You cna take it up with you bank if you paid by debit card. Taking someone's money for good then not providing the goods is theft, the bank will follow it up.
 
uummm.....I have had a prof ch girth on order from Feb but it was out of stock. I then cancelled it and ordered another one that was in stock and it came straight away. However, on the 24th May I ordered one that has not come yet so I ahve just sent an email.....will let you know how I get on!!! On the money side....I paid twice by mistake and she paid me straight back.
 
Ok quick recap and update:

ordered girth and paid on 18 May.
didn't hear anything further.
Finally got hold of 'lady' on the phone. Told girths held up in customs due to volcanic ash, due for release by end of the month.
I said I'd wait til end of the month then.
No girth. Emailed several times (no reply) and finally got through on phone.
Woman vague and rude, but promised instant refund.
No refund.
Rang yet again, promised immediate refund (treated as if I've only just made contact).
No refund.

I tried launching a Paypal dispute - can't do it after 45 days.
Contacted my bank - they had a look at the direct debit mandate (as I'd used my debit card via Paypal) but they weren't the right circumstances to pursue a chargeback.

I am now pursuing this through the legal system. Its not an earth shattering amount of money, but its the appalling customer service and refusal / inability to issue with me a long overdue refund that is really pushing my buttons.:mad:

I'll let you know if I ever do get my money.

Did anyone else with problems ever get them resolved?

I ordered over reach boots on the 12th June and they have never arrived, I rang her and she was so rude and told me she wasnt interested in my life story!? which i never gave her, I just explained that if they were not to arrive by next week I would need my money back as I live in Dubai but am going back to the UK next week. I asked her who I can make a complaint to and she said dont bother as I am the owner told me never to order anything from them again and hung up on me!.
I will await my refund and I will pursue it if it doesnt arrive by taking legal action as I know some people from reading previous threads still have not had their money back for items they had reseived. Just wish I had seen those posts before placing an order. My advice, STAY WELL CLEAR!
 
OMG i am sat here reading all these posts and its a mirror image of what happened to me. ordered over reach boots, money taken straight from account, no confirmation email. 3 weeks later no boots, sent several emails, no replies. rang woman today, get a large amount of abuse - she hadn't taken money out of my account apparently i had given it to them by giving her my debit card details???!!!?? boots out of stock and i must not have received her emails confirming this due to the spam settings on my pc????!!!! i asked for a refund and told her if i hadn't got it by next week i would contact Trading Standards, she went mental and put the phone down on me. I contacted Trading Standards straight away which i would suggest everyone does to try and prevent other having the same problems.
 
I also have had a bad experience with this lady, it was a couple of years ago now and I can't remember what it was I had ordered! but I know that she took my money and I waited weeks for item to arrive. Impossible to get hold of someone on the phone and when I did eventually get to speak to someone they were not happy when I asked for a refund as item still not available.
Have not use them since and will not ever do so.
 
You see, it's quite common practice nowadays to take payment as the order is placed if the item is out of stock - if the person paying knows about it!

I work on an e-commerce site (not equestrian) and Sagepay (formerly Protx) are geared to take payment as the order is placed. Maybe for larger companies, having bang on stock levels on their website is a feasible option, but for smaller businesses it's tough.

On that note - the woman's behaviour is inexcusable!

If someone orders from our site and the item is out of stock, they are notified immediately with a polite telephone call. They have the option to wait or cancel, no obligations. (9.9 times out of ten, the people wait, just being happy that contact has been made and it's a friendly voice on the end of the line. )

I even tell them to bother me plenty, I don't mind! And we have seriously happy customers.

You guys on the other hand sound like you're having a customer service NIGHTMARE!

You should send the lady a link to this thread and let her see what's stirring!
 
Oh damn. They have the Shires heavyweight turnout for 89 quid which is the cheapest i've seen! Reluctant to buy from them now :(
