Horsing around saddlery....has anyone used them??

To be honest l think thats how she pulls people in, i think the prices for everything are slightly cheaper than everywhere else. thats how i was caught out because i always shop around, and its nice to give small companies the business - but to be fair it has put me off and feel like i should stick to using the big businesses now.

Oh my god. This has brought back all those feelings from last summer that I thought I had buried. That woman is pure evil. I have never ever been treated as badly by someone trying to sell me something as her.

She should be struck off the SMS list for a start. She is just dreadful.

Please, please, please NOONE ever use her as a saddler. She made me cry driving home as she had been so horrible to me. I never cry!!

I don't know what else to say about her except that she is wicked and I hate to say it, but those people who've tried to buy stuff off her are very unlikely to get your money back by ringing and emailing her alone. Use Trading Standards or whatever you can to get it back and hopefully put her out of business.

Sorry if this sounds harsh but she deserves it.

(I obviously haven't had closure about my saddle fitting disaster last year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!).

Do not use this site!! On 16th April I ordered a snuggy hood from Horsing Around, my credit card was debited straight away, I waited a week, nothing from them so i emailed them, no reply! Then i phoned, no reply, left message, no reply! Got through to a human by week 2, was told the item i had ordered was not in stock but should be with me within the next week.

A month later no rug! They still didnt have it in stock so i requested a refund, was told this would be done straight away. After 10 days no refund! After a heated conversation with the rather rude and quite frankly unprofessional woman (phone was slammed down on us) still no refund! Was told that this couldnt be done without going through their accountant and she wasnt available, despite my card being debited instantly! Police now informed and thankfully as purchased with a credit card fraud investigation by my card company is underway!

Moral of the strory = dont use Horsing Around Saddlery.

Have to say cant do with rude shop owners. There is a saddlery near me and I stopped going there a long time ago even though they sell nice stuff. The woman who owns the shop is so rude and unwilling to put herself out for you.

Taken my money elsewhere.

Report to trading standards asap. This Is disgusting! The excuse I'm busy saddle fitting doesnt stand up to me.

I'm shocked. I had this with joules but got vouchers and twenty percent discount from them so not all bad

Surprised she's still in business!
I could never treat anyone like that, let alone my customers!
I looked at her site, went to click onto the saddle fitting guide in secondhand saddles and my anti virus stopped the page loading as it had a trojan trying to come in from her site, so even more reason to stay clear, BAD service, and BAD cheap software!
Oz :)

Well, it's December 2013, so nothing much has changed with Horsing Around Saddlery. Same story as skychick and others - constant emails, contact form and answer phone messages which aren't replied to. Product (Numnah) ordered in August and not delivered. There was no indication that the product was out of stock or I would have gone elsewhere! I paid via Paypal/Credit Card.

Eventually got a reply on the phone on December 12th 2013 (over 3 months after the order was placed!) and after noting that we would like a refund, she put the phone down on me. My husband took over, constantly phoning and leaving messages and once she did answer, he got the same treatment. This morning she told him that "if he continued to be a pain in the arse, the refund would take longer". All he wanted to know was "when" the amount would be refunded. This is not an unreasonable request, especially after so long of waiting.

We have put in a formal complaint about Horsing Around Saddlery with Paypal and shall contact Trading Standards together with the Credit Card Company. We suggest that anyone else who has the same experience does the same. For everyone else, DO NOT BUY FROM HORSING AROUND SADDLERY.

All we want is our refund and then we'll be delighted to leave her alone, until then .....

I have started to use Equestrian Clearance and they have proven themselves to be brilliant. The order is shipped within 24 hours followed by an email to let us know the delivery day/time, within an hour, which I think is awesome. That's what I call service!

I remember ordering some boots from them years ago and she was very rude back then when i was chasing the order that i' been waiting ages for. Shame they've not smartened up their service any!

I think she should be removed from the SMS because she shouldn't be allowed to fit saddles. I can't honestly believe that they believe she is reputable.

Crikey - I'm furious again and my saddle woes with her happened a few years ago!!! God she is the most horrendous woman. Foul creature!!

I've had dealings with this specimen before - very rude, unhelpful, arrogant woman indeed! I paid my dues, nearly £1200 for a new saddle (no complaints about the saddle at all I have to admit) but her attutide meant she would never see any of my hard earned £'s again.

My woes are small fry in terms of £s (I hope I get them back, of course), but the emotions are huge! There are just no words bad enough to describe the disbelief that anyone can call this "Customer Service"! We have disputed the transaction with the Credit Company now, so "onwards and upwards".

I had problems with them as well, ordered a professionals choice girth, never arrived, no response from them, eventually put in a dispute with Paypal and thankfully they refunded my money back. Not once did i hear from the company. How on earth are they still trading after reading all the replies!

DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES USE THIS COMPANY. Like every fraudster Carol charmed me into stupidly paying £395 directly into her bank account so that I could try out a second hand saddle. She was so helpful and really nice to me on the phone but as soon as I sent the saddle back to her and asked for a refund I received an e-mail saying she was ill. I have tried to get in touch but my e-mails and telephone calls are ignored. I sent the saddle back in October and it is now January. I tried phoning the mobile number I had spoken to her on at length before but was told that there was no-one of that name living there. I wonder how much this woman has stolen from people over the years?

Im ressurecting this thread, i bought a second hand saddle from ebay, it looked nice enough and was only going to be used as a second saddle, when it arrived it looked like a cat scratching post, with perminant marker pen in the gullet, non of this was in the describtion or the pictures { dark photos}, the seller didnt want to know, so i got ebay involved, the seller said i must have done the scratches, anyway i was granted a refund, the seller was a carol clempson, i sent the saddle back only to have it sent back to me as the seller had moved, ive been given my money back, and i still have the saddle { carma} she goes under the name of mybigvetbill and has a few saddles for sale. I did a google search of her name and this came up.

Re-opened thread again....I've just had too take carol Clempson to court to get a refund on a saddle I purchased from her in March. I got the judgement and am now waiting for my money. This woman is best avoided especially for saddles and particularly for saddle fitting. Trading standards are aware of her. She advertises on pre-loved and on eBay. Steer well clear!

Following on from above, I went to Court and Carol Clempson was ordered to pay me back in full inc my costs. She now has a CCJ against her, not the first one she has had, to date I have heard nothing from her and no money has been paid to me.....not surprisingly!! She is now selling on eBay, goes by the name of ' myvetbill' . You are forewarned!
