Larkrigg riding school, in Natland, (south Lakeland) are holding their family fun day to raise money for the Air Ambulance from 10am -4pm on Sunday 25th July.
There will be entertainment and fun for the whole familywith a mainly horsy slant!
From tasty refreshments and fun games to facepainting and a huge pets corner featuring Greenside Alpacas and special guests from Little Beasties of Ulverston who will also be running hands on talks about the creatures!
Julie Rolls the animal communicator will be on hand during the day to give readings, if you would like Julie to do a ahort reading of your pet or horse please bring some good photos of the animal, £10 and an open mind! All under 16s mmust be accompanied by an adult during readings!
There will also be some great demonstrations in the school all day, from our own drill team who have been practicing hard to perform a musical ride to the thrills and spills from Oxenholme games team who performed a super demo last year - this is definately one to watch - make sure you bring a loud voice to cheer them on!
Catherine Cartmell from Castleview Equestrian will be performing a Pas de Deux with two of her Stallions - this promises to be a wonderfull display and we are so pleased to be able to offer people a sneaky peak before Cartmel Show!
Jackie Parsons from Lakeland quarter horses will also be giving two demonstrations, on western riding and on natural horsemanship - if you have seen her adverts on here and are interested why not come have a nosey and meet her!?
In addition to all this (i hope i havent missed anyone!) there will be a driving talk by Jenny Harrison of the RDA, a talk by Mark Thorne (equine dentist) and also one by Fiona Johnstone (equine physio), Ben Clegg (farrier) will making and fitting shoes during the day. There will be opportunities galore to ask questions and find out more about all of these professions!
