Hi, I have bought some stirrup leathers and toe cages for my 7 year old daughter after several incidences of falling and getting her foot stuck in the stirrup & consequently being dragged which was really scary !!!!
Robinsons fitted them for me so that when the stirrup leather is lying flat against the side of the saddle, the toe cage points outwards and when the foot is in the stirrup, the toe cages point forwards. However, when fitted like this my daughters instructor has said they are the wrong way around as the leather is twisted and not very comfy against the leg.
Could somebody explain if this is actually correct or whether the toe cages have to face inwards against the saddle before the foot enters ?
Thanks
