One of my pony's is terrified by the hose pipe !! i can't even get it near her

i have tried to trick her into letting me bath her, eg - a wash brush , hiding the hose in a sponge and feeding her while i try and do it < nothing works . all my horses and ponies get bathed once a week and hose down after work, i just want my pony to be as clean as the rest !!!

ditto! my pony loathes hose pipes, he'll even gallop away down the field when i try and fill his water bucket up! i now have to bath him with a sponge and a lot of patience!

i read somewhere that the best way to hose and be safe was to put pony in stable and gently hose them ( with you on the outside of stable) i tried it on a really naughty pony and after a while she did stand still and we did eventually get her used to it to use it properly, dont know if would work for all, might be worth a go.

same problem here and with feathers and huge long mane and a tail that drags on the floor it is sssooo not funny! he also doesnt like the fly spray unless rubbed on him, why is the fly spray in a bright pink spray bottle, surely that does not help! good luck with yours and the hose, i plan to try again tomorrow!

Our big girl with feathers and huge mane and tail is the same, is ok with filling the water buckets, but cannot bear it on her, not even keen on a watering can on the legs and is convinced that the fly spray (or conditioner sprray) is going to disolve her!:)
