Hospital/doctor or what?

In our case it's the radiology dept at the local hospital that needs dragging up to speed....negotiations are on going ....far better for acute radiology request to go straight from gp to xray rather than via a/e but the dotted line hasn't been signed on yet....lots of frustrating obstacles in the NHS it's a long way from seamless or indeed uniform IMO.

That's a real shame :( they need to be careful. There is tender in my area for "A&E" services - there will be 3 between 8 hospitals with the rest being minor injuries units only. By not being compliant with GP referrals, the hospital could find themselves losing out on their status as an acute centre.
