Following a survey of freinds and some members of another forum the most requested item to have at a yard to make it more enjoyable was a Hot Tub.
Seems like a good idea, go out for a ride and relax in a Hot Tub afterwards with a glass of wine.
So like a fool I went to the Royal Highland Show and bought one for Newtonmore Riding Centre. No alchohol was involved I hasten to add.
It is still in the box as I did not want any small children falling it in when we had our Open Day last week.
My question now is have any fellow yard owners risk assessed having a Hot Tub on their yard before I get it out of the box.
Luckily we have done all our approvals for BHS, ABRS, TRSS and The Pony Club this year so at least none of them can pooh pooh the idea.
I expect we will need a dedicated life saver on duty and I have my RLSS bronze award which should do.
BTW I am serious about this !!!!

Hot tubs and horses LOVELY idea!

We just got one at home and I love going out for a ride, rushing home and getting in with a glass of wine and my friends and family. I found that when we first got it (4 wks ago) I was avoiding riding, just so I could spend more time in the tub, but have now got back to normal (

) and ride then tub.

I want my yard owner (aka my best friends dad) to get a pool for those hot summer days (when the decide to appear)! lol!!!

We have one at home but it's our own private one at the house, no way are smelly horsey people getting in it!!

Me too. After a day's hunting there's nothing better than a big plate of casserole, glass of wine in the tub and then a sleep by the fire. Yum

Yes we have one at home- and I have just contracted a very bad infection down my legs from the water not being cleaned often enough

We have strict shower/ make up off rules as they are a bitch to clean out and can get quite costly, no way would I want to be cleaning out sweaty water from people who have been riding for the past two hours!!!

I would keep it for yourself, you will work hard as as an owner of a yard so indulge, you won't have to clean the filter out as often as I am sure if you let anyone use it there will be bits of straw and horse hair gets in. We have had our ofr about 4 years now and after a day in the yard a nice shower to get the muck off then jump in spa with a nice glass of wine. heaven
