Hi all,

I currently ride in a GPA most of the time, but in this weather I'm still melting (yes I know - yuck!) by the time I finish. On the basis that I don't fancy shaving my head and applying anti-perspirant to my bonce, does anyone know of any good riding hats that are very well ventilated?

I was thinking of the GPA Speed Air or the Caldene Ultra Riding hat. Obviously there's a bit of a price difference and to be honest they both look a tad....ermmm is chavy too strong word? but If they can keep my head cool I'll go for it. Anyone got either of these, used one, heard of them? All suggestions welcome.

I look forward to watching the tumbleweeds roll by on this post :)

p.s. I don't really care about how good the hat is for protection purposes. I rarely jump (and I can use a proper hat if I do) and never do anything scary like XC

Maybe a cheaper option to try is to wear a bandanna under your riding hat. It seems to absorb the sweat. Nice thought eh??!!
I used to ride out in Newmarket and it seemed to stop your hair getting as yukky. However it will stretch your hat a bit

Get a Troxel hat! They are AMAZING for keeping you cool. I ride in one for daily riding and dread having to put on my 'proper' hat for posh stuff :o This is the american site but you can buy any of them in the UK.
