Expect lots of trot work. Our lot used to stick to the lanes. It used to embarrass me hugely how the hounds emptied their bowels all over the village but the householders just seemed resigned to it.
We went last week. About an hour and a half of walk and trot round the lanes - I'd guess about 70% trotting. I took a youngster who's been in ticking over work - just hacking - since June when we bought him. He was fine.

I've been out with people that have only had there horses up since august, others have done more, we have been mainly trotting over fields and little bit of road work, the odd rail and few canters
