Like all young animals you mustn't get them over tired else they'll strain something so just keep it in moderation. Hound pups seem to go all day and then collapse to sleep for a few hours so as long as they have plenty of R & R time to themselves and you see they don't get tired, they should be fine. You lucky thing being able to take them out with you safely, wish we could around here!

thank you MFH-09 yes we are very lucky we live in the middle of bodmin moor with no road work so straight out on to the moor with pleanty of good smells to find and follow we have lots of sheep and cattle on our farm and the puppies take no notice of them at all probably because they are excersised with our working collies and the puppies take good advice from them. we have not had hound puppies befor and our theory is if we keep them well exercised and ocupied they will not get bored and look to lop off on their own maybe this is wishful thinking eh?
