I am looking after 2 hound puppies, who despite eating well and the recommended quantities, are looking very lean.
I spoke to our hunt kennels who have asked me to worm them, and doubt if they have been wormed at all before been given them at 8 weeks, (they are now 16 weeks old).
Could any one advise me a good product/programme?
Thank you

Ours are always wormed before and several times while walking them by hunt staff themselves but if your hunt don't do that themselves, perhaps ask your vet what they recommend. I usually use Drontal Puppy.

Hope you're enjoying having them, I miss them like mad.

Thanks MFH - unfortunately our hunt is really struggling financially so although have organised their vaccs, have asked the walkers to worm themselves. As I have not reared puppies for years I couldn't remember the timing intervals etc.
I think I will take them down to the vets tomorrow to have them weighed and get them to recommend a worming programme.
Yes - we are loving having them, as although they are into everything, are extremely responsive and loving. We have introduced them to leads and love their daily walks and they even come to call (well sort of!!!!)

No problem, it's always a huge outlay for so many at a time, it's bad enough having to do the entered hounds let alone all the pups as well. Perhaps that's something your hunt supporters could look at sponsoring, everything helps.
Enjoy them, they go back only too soon but then again, it's great next year watching them learn to become part of the proper pack - and by that time, you'll have had another couple!
