A well trained hound is something to behold. Not one of them lost the trail though I would say the stewards might be looking at one or two at the back under the "non-triers" and "schooling in public" rules ???

Ha! I saw that. Brilliant. They have hound racing at the agricultural shows round here.

I did wonder whether the ones at the back were just out for a jolly!!

I had a retired racing hound (as well as others) and she was the idlest dog I have ever had, but totally charming. The Lakeland Trailhound Welfare does a brilliant job rehoming and they make lovely pets once their racing days are done. They are generally very much loved in kennels; it is a little known aspect of hound stuff. Lovely to see
