Very funny you two ! Do not want the mansion house or pool in the garden the land is more important quite like the sound of the stables with clock on top though !

How big a house? Got a friend with an absolutely first class renovation/extension of a farm cottage in Swythamley (Staffs/Derbys/Cheshire borders). With 19 acres, more by negotiation. Three huge indoor "victorian" style stables already done, turnout yard, full PP for 20x60 and a big agricultural building. Additional PP for conversion of outbuildings to cottage. Geothermal heating (dead cheap to run and sooooo green!!) House has two decent bedrooms and one smallish one. One en-suite. All done to luxurious standards. Kitchen (big) still to be fitted (to your spec)
Top of your price range but a super place, just coming to completion in the next few months. Fantastic country location but not far from mainline railway, commutable to Manchester and Birmingham, 20 minutes from a major theatre in Buxton.
