Dear diary
Well it’s that time of year again!! My new book is out and mother is taking all the credit. Its mother who gets to go to the parties at Bransby and meet all MY fans. Its mother who gets to go and sign books and pretend to have written it when it’s all MY work. Its mother who gets to talk to loads of nice people when actually all they want to do is meet ME. *sulks*
Anyway the good news is (well good for other horses) I’ve given all my profits away again so all the ponies and horses at Bransby can have carrots and things whilst I wilt away in my field, overworked, under loved and generally under appreciated..........
For those of you who might want a copy it’s apparently going to be available from the Bransby online shop from this Friday (1st June). More details to follow from my agent (i.e. mother)....

So what have I been up to this last week? Well you remember me telling you a new girl was coming to the yard? Well she’s here, and better still she has amazing taste in men.......
She arrived and stood that night whinnying to me all night and starting at me in a slightly scary obsessed manner. Apparently her and her owners know who I am and are massive fans. So to be honest I’m not sure if she really likes me or is after having her wicked way with me and selling the story to Horse and hound? Either way who cares? I’m up for it if she is!! Anyway the next morning on the way out to do some work I stopped by her stable and gave her the full Hovis big eyes, moustache wiffling lady killer look. Two seconds later and I had a full on lip lock in place and she was snogging my face off!! Even mother suggested she was very forward and we ought to get a room! Even better this display of public affection was witnessed by dolly who did not seem amused and so I spent the rest of the day getting kisses from her too. Life is GOOD!! Even better unlike the rest of the ladies at the yard who like to treat me like some sort of boy toy for their amusement she seems to be really keen and at the moment since only her, Hot Stepper and I are coming in at night I’m seriously thinking of getting some late night action. If I could figure the damn door lock I’d be in there like a rat up a drain pipe.....

So other than a serious upturn in my love life Aunty Sammie seems to be on a mission to kill me. Hot steppers mum is away at the moment so Aunty Sam has decided to use this opportunity to keep taking me out without a wing man. Which I have repeatedly told everyone is a BAD idea. Still she keeps on persisting and to be honest it’s so hot at the moment I’ve not got the energy to argue with her. She sees this acceptance as me behaving – nope love I’m just too hot to spook, you wait till the weather changes.........
The hot weather has also led to the first proper bath of the year (in cold water which to be honest was actually rather nice but don’t tell mother) and the threat of having to wear my sack on my head again if my nose starts to burn. To try to stop this occurring I am keeping my nose firmly in all the lovely grass we have at the moment to avoid Mr. Sun even seeing it. So far this appears to be working........

So all round life is pretty good: great grass, fit new bird that actually seems to like me, a jealous Dolly, nice sunshine, no head sack yet and a new book out. If we could just sort out no work then I’d have a full house and be one seriously happy Hovis... laters..........

*Hovis stupid phone not to know how to spell the Great Destroyers name

It normally changes it to Hobos!!

He's not going up to the Lincolnshire show this year as I cant get the time off and he wouldnt go without me ;)
We are seriously thinking of bombarding Your Horse Live with emails though to get them to allow him to go to that!!

The new book is called Hovis' Friday Diary: The Year of the Destroyer, is priced at £5.99 and is being sold with 100% of the proceeds going to Bransby Home of Rest for Horses. The books will be available from friday onwards from the online shop and i really really hope its supported as well as the first one was. You guys were awesome in your generosity last time around so i'm hoping for a bit more of the same. I know there are a lot of great equine charities out there but i really do count Bransby as up there with them. They do great work and as the book shows, every penny really does help to save the lives of horses like Carrot and Spud (to whom the book is dedicated) xxx

Will be purchasing a copy or two....;):D the coblet likes to know her second home is being maintained in the event hat standards here slip so far she has to go back......;):D:D

Bransby are coming to see her tomorrow - she will be pulling her best 'I'm emaciated and over worked' look for them.....they haven't fallen for it yet.......;):D:D:D
