Dear diary
I apologise for not writing on Friday but mum was up in Yorkshire with my older brother so I couldnt get to the computer. More on that in a minute.
Well this week has been a tad quiet. This is because on Saturday mum managed to lame herself in spectacular style by taking a swan dive off the lorry. It pains me to say but it wasnt even my or fancy pants fault. My mum is a plonker who fell over her own feet. Special needs I tell you
Anyway Aunty Sarah looked after me on Saturday morning whilst mum was at horsepital and then Dad rode me on Sunday whilst mum stayed at home no doubt moaning about how much her ankle hurts.
She has come up every night to see me but she cant ride me. This task has fallen to dad who does keep insisting on taking me out on my own with no wing men. On Sunday we were nearly attacked by one of the big hissing spitting things but yet again my swift reactions saved us from certain doom. Im not sure Dad saw it this way as much muttering about wimpy bog trotter2 was going on but I assumed he was referring to someone else? Wimpy and my name never feature in the same sentence together .
On Friday mum and Aunty Sarah came up and got the lorry out yippee thought I - were going out! Alas no. Mum was going with Aunty Sarah to fetch my older brother who is retired in York and take him to the vets. After he injured himself several years ago he has been chilling out and relaxing, but mum and Dad felt it was time to have another x-ray on his badly damaged foot to see how bad its got. I really wanted to go and see him but mum said that Sid didnt like me then and was unlikely to like me now so I wasnt allowed. Shes such a spoil sport.
Apparently mum was really worried about him loading as hes not been near a lorry in 2 years but he went straight on. Then he threw an absolute fit on the lorry so mum and Aunty Sarah had to load his best mate the donkey on with him to keep him calm. Now why is it all my brothers have been big girls blouses? And seriously dude whats with the donkey? Apparently mum and Aunty Sarah felt like a right bunch of gypsies turning up at the vets with a strapping 17.2HH Hanoverian and his donkey side kick. Oh and mum with a walking stick and Aunty Sarahs trousers falling down flashing her cow pants at the vets during the trot up. I was SO glad I didnt go when I heard all this. I love my mum and Aunty Sarah but there are times when I think they shouldnt be let out on their own.
Anyway the upshot is Sids foot is very very bad on the x-ray but hes actually not that lame. His injury is so special they asked mum if they can use his x-rays for teaching purposes. His field mates will never hear the end of that I can tell you. So Sid has gone back to his field and will see the vet in a year. I suppose that means Id better get saving for his Christmas present.
So in the meantime mum is still on box rest and bute and is very very fed up. Do you think I should lend her my treat ball?
