A few years ago I had my pony on a horrible bitchy livery yard. It snowed one day and my cushings pony in her massive home grown winter coat was more than loving the snow!
Anyway, that night I got to the yard and found a snotty note on my stable door stating how cruel I was at the turning my pony out naked. She was my first pony so I called my vet for advice although I knew she would be fine. They gave me a link for an excellent article about how horses cope with winter. Now I cannot find it anywhere! I have found the below which is a great read, but not the article I was after.

Does anyone know of a really in depth, scientific article about horses in the winter?
Thanks
