sunday lunch is cooking, horses all mucked out...so i have time to scan the internet

well i came across this yard on monarchs website

(not the lights, but the back ground picture, scroll down then its easier to see)

all i can say is WOW....any one know where it is, or even been there
even the anit-weave grills are shaped....
guess i can dream :(
 
Yes please. But if they are fresh out of stock i will settle for the green bow fronted stables

That reminds me id better dig out that lottery ticket and check it..
 
Yes, very grand to our eyes but in the end they are still stables in a barn. lol

Wonder if the horses appreciate them the same way we might?
 
I was thinking about the spider webs that are mandatory for all stables.
But if someone wanted to buy me something similar, I wouldn't be rude enough to say no.

much rather have outdoor red brick stables in a courtyard with a small all weather turn out area in the middle (for any sicklies or limpers), and a lovely clock over the stables.

of course if someone was offering i would graciously accept then sell it for a nicer horsey home-with no weave grills cos happy non stressed horses dont need them

they would live out anyway and only come in for a few hrs per day as there would be ample well drained established meadows
 
Oh I see you found photos of my stables and horses...I'm frilled u like them ;)

And then I wake up and eat my weetabix :( oh well one can dream :D
 
If you're ever in the West Country visit the National Trust propertly Tyntesfield just south of Bristol - the most beautiful Victorian stable stalls :) Lovely ornate ironwork and Delpht blue and white tiles I think on the walls :) Lovely brick cobbled floors with good drains too :) The cow barns which are now the restaurant have kept a lot of their stall layout too from those days and are as smart.
 
One of my best friends used to keep her horses at a yard in america like that. They had fountains and TVs and stuff :O
 
Not my thing at all, very twee and fussy. If I was given it, I would knock all the frills off it (balls and chandeliers etc) and paint it in clean black and white.

I'd much prefer a smart brick outdoor yard.
