i dare say it won't be long before that becomes common over here.......they already pump youngsters full of steroids, and tie ponies down all night (not all producers i hasten to add) and some in the welsh world put ralgex around the poor pony's anus to encourage the high tail carriage

Not just dogs either, there was a case a few years back about a horse that was 'altered' cosmetically.

I daresay that these 'behind closed doors' practices go on everywhere when there is a prize at stake.

I actually put the blame fairly and squarely at the feet of the Judges, if they judged true to type or performance, and made a stand, then this wouldn't happen. Surely they can spot something that doesn't seem right beneath the glitter and rolls of fat.

I was going to post about it - it was on the FHOTD blog, I thought it was so utterly disgusting. I also find it unbelievable that people can be so naive to do something like that to their horse just because their trainer says so "If I had known this could happen, I would never, ever have done it,". Honestly, how thick can you be?
