Least favourite colour of horses?? AND would it actually stop you from buying a horse that colour?!

Personally, don't like cremellos, doubt I would buy one, find them a bit creepy

And don't like most chesnuts, however some gorgeous ones and I wouldn't be put off buying them

The saying is that a good horse is never a bad colour.

I would agree with this! But I wouldn't choose a horse that was any light colour if there was a choice - couldn't be doing with all that bathing!

Generally speaking (i.e. if I were being shallow

) I'm not particularly keen on roans, Appaloosas or Cremellos. However, that is not to say I have never 'liked' a horse of this colour - only the other day I saw a very pretty Appie

Black - they freak me out, truly! Actually any dark horse that is all one colour, eg not even a star, And I couldn't ever have a coloured horse, they just don't do it for me although I have seen some smashing ones out and about, i just wouldn't want one myself. Sorry guys, no offense intended! x

Deefa- Harry is liver chesnut is he not?! I LOVE liver chesnuts

Think it is very much to do with the type of horse, there are some absoloutely gorgeous chesnuts, but I just don't think they have as much of a look at me factor as other colours... but then that chesnut andulusian (cannot spell that
tongue.gif
) that was in the PG the other day- simply stunning!!

Dug myself a nice hole there

I couldn't have a cremello, i find them funny looking and there's too much pink to burn in the sun

I'm not keen on appies but there are some nice ones out there.

And generally speaking bays are my least favourite 'normal' colour. I just find them a bit samey and boring, although a pretty face can change my mind fairy quickly.

But chesnuts not bays

i hate cremellos, and I'm not a fan of chestnuts with no white markings! I would NEVER buy a cremello, but would buy the chestnut.
Im very quickly going off black horses too..... both of mine are the devil's horses!

I don't like bays with no white on their face - think they look scarey.

As a kid, i had a palomino, then wanted a grey, but ended up with another palomino. Now we have 2 bays.

I always fancy a really striking looking chestnut.

Grey - but no, it didn't stop me buying Ari as he was perfect in every other way. Funny though, only the day before I had said I would never, ever have a grey......

I always wanted a chestnut Arab and 'would never buy a grey'. Ari was born chestnut with four white socks and a star (my perfect combo!) and has gone grey. Dappled now, but I bet he ends up white - my all time worst colour. And he has pink bum cheeks where his hair is kind of roany dapples!

Not keen on roans, cremellos or coloureds *ducks*

In general, I don't like cremellos, very light bays, chestnuts with no markings, and coloureds. Then obviously there are exceptions -- would be very happy to make an exception for Volatis Defiant for instance
grin.gif

Id love a coloured jsut not sure I could keep them clean enough!
smile.gif

Not keen on cremello's, especially if it has a wall eye! actually ANYTHING with a wall eye I dont like as they freak me out (sorry if anyones horse has one)

I dont like liver chestnuts particularly, normal chestnuts I am iffy on, if they are particularly nice sort then I am very keen, but if not, then I just am not taken!

Anything black and bay in a heart beat!
smile.gif
and I always think greys are gorgoues, when other people have to clean them!
smile.gif

Grey and black, I don't like bays much either unless they have a lot of white markings or are bright bay. Am also not keen on some spotted horses either. Fussy aren't I?
laugh.gif

I dont dislike any colour of horse but im not so keen on greys (prefer dapple or steel), bays with no markings and orangey chestnuts (sorry! I know some of you have them). Although saying that I do like a chestnut with white stockings!

I find my coloured quite easy to keep white cuz of her skin being pink it just seems to make her white patches very white. Many grey horse owners on my yard comment on how Tia manages to stay so white.

Ohh... I quite like all colours! I have a liver chestnut, and whilst I think she is GORGEOUS I do think it's a bit boring compared to others.

Wish-it-was palominos... the ones that look like they faded in the wash :/ maybe I just prefer the true 'copper' coloured sort of palomino rather than disliking them though? Some are nice.
I don't particularly like bays/duns with markings - unless they're extreme markings bordering on making them a paint kinda thing!
Not sure about perlinos and appies either.

Depends on the horse! Some suit their colours, some just don't xD
