How on earth did someone manage to approach the Icelandic pony and attack it like this?

I heard about this... Absolutely disgusting poor poor pony
I'm hearing about so much animal abuse these last few weeks- a swan had it's head and neck ripped off, a rabbit had it's limbs cut off, just unbelievably sick

Very sad for the poor pony, at least it looks like he will recover.

I can only hope someone does the same to the attacker at some point so they can understand what it feels like!
