Hi, following on from my earlier post regarding being reported (because of ponies in the mud despite the bottom field being dry and them getting lots of hay every day) - so far i have heard nothing.......i have included pics of the offending mud! its only by the gate too........its made me a bit paranoid though and now am worrying about them! they look a bit scruffy but they do live out 24/7......i don't really like brushing them/messing with them too much in the winter esp their legs as i believe they should be well left alone! i have been looking for mud rash and so far so good!
Thank god we are almost out of winter now, roll on spring! i personally think they both look okay, there well covered - they have lost a little weight but ive upped their hay and TBH i dont really want them entering spring like bloated beasties!
The coloured is rising 2 and the welshie rising 3.........
Opinions please

They look fine. From the 1st photo of the coloured, I'd up the protein a touch, though the 2nd photo looks fine

The people reporting me really should know better, there horse owners from the livery yard down the road!! they ride past my ponies every day! i think i know who has reported me now anyway. Apparently they have called the RSPCA???

same :L

with 20 horses all turned out together the hay rack/ gate area
is just mud, alot worse than that
however the other 3/4 of the field is grass and they have a joining field aswell which is grass.

the people who reported you obviously haev no clue as the ponies re in good health/condition and are being looked after

They look great. In fine fettle. Just wintered out ponies. Clearly an idiot who's reported them. The RSPCA *should* just roll their eyes when they see them.
