Well we did not have a major problem in Derbyshire last night...it was raining hard and windy but seemed to have survived. I have turned my boy out with rug on to face the lashing rain and he is stood out in it eating bits of grass when he could go into his field stable and eat haynets stuffed to bursting in the dry!!! Must be mad!
How are we all doing today?

The bloody media, like always whipped every one up to a frenzy yesterday about how bad it was going to be and its certainly not the worst weather this winter at all... cobblers!!
The coast my have it a bit rougher but being a Cornish girl i have seen some pretty bad storms and i am sure they will cope without too much damage ... hope everone else is ok?
Makes me SO angry when the press do this cry wolf stuff for the WHOLE country. Maybe if more was spent on flood/ storm defences the coastal regions would not have to use sand bags... etc... oops sorry rant over!!!!!

They'd rather be out though wouldn't they, no-one on my yard has turned out. A friend and i are going to turn out later but they'll all think we are mad

The wind is awful here in Norfolk!!! Really strong, my ponies seem to like it though and would rather be out racing round the field than in their nice warm shelter!

when i woke up everything was white, so just a fair amount of snow up here which is fine with me abby hates the wind. totally agree applechaff, i hate keepin my horses in, they just get really wound up and are much happier out runnin about

We had some gusty wind last night about 11 o'clock but this morning is bright sunny and beautiful!

The Welsh Hills must have saved us I think for now but can see something brewing from that way so I might revise this later.! As it is, neds are going out naked as usual!

the weather in crap in lincolnshire, The media have defo made this out the be worse then it is.... for do's its windy and raining but no all that bad. My two are in today due to some of my fencing has snaped so i am going to sort it out later (cba to get wet lol ) x

Blowing like hell here in Suffolk, Orwell Bridge closed, Felixstowe docks closed, mine are in. HOping for some brightness this afternoon so can turn out, don't want her standing in too long with her 9 month belly.

I'm in North Somerset and we had a fair old blow last night. Dustbins blowing about, garden furniture rearranged. This is pretty standard fare every few years.

Apparently it is going to get worse here Tuesday / Wednesday with 40 to 50 MPH gusts coming straight off the coast. Not too sure what the ponies will make of it! As long as it's not raining while I'm on poo picking duty, I'm not too bothered.

Horses all fine, some electric fencing and trees down, nothing major. Biggest damage so far is at home. All my propogation trays in the greenhouse are now on the floor in a pile of soil and seeds, as one side of it collapsed. Doubt I'll put it back together this evening, as it's to get worse again. I didn't dare let the cat out - he's safer indoors!

We had a rough night here in devon - lots of debris around

Starting to get quite rough again here, have put the horses out though - neither of them like being shut in.
