I was going to leave mine in, but did in fact turn out because where I put their morning hay was out of the wind.
However. the wind direction has just changed and we are now getting battered so I might bring them in if I see them at the gate.

We parked loads of farm machinery In front of my slightly flimsy stables. Seeing photos of blown away shelters etc on fb I’m really glad we did.

We checked the roof of the field shelter and banged in a few loose nails. We also put rugs on for the first time this winter to help protect against possible small flying debris.

we were extremely lucky. The yard is in a very high and exposed location. Lots of small items hurtling around ,even though we thought everything had been put away . Daisy the Ardenne cross however may need years of counselling. A small feed shed was lifted , bounced off one stable block roof ,then landed on top of her stable ,before continuing its journey out into the arena. . Imagine Daisys heartbreak ! It was empty !
