How are your dressage horses bred?

Mine is TBxshire

I love TB/Shires and am very jealous. Your horse looks lovely.

I had the ride on a Suffolk Punch/TB who went to Inter 1.

My first PSG horse was NF/TB and my current rides are AA/Welsh (ex driving horse currently at Nov/Elementary) and a Dutch/TB/Pikey pony (where the piebald bit comes from) (currently at Advanced Medium).

Although not a "proper" dressage horse and although I haven't actually agreed to take her on yet, I'm going to view a purebred Lipizzaner mare this week, with a view to dressaging her. I can't wait to see how she's bred, I think it's fascinating.

mine is a pure breed lipizzaner, amazing horses currently reschooling him, but when we get a couple of supple uphill paces ...wow can you feel it, their trot is like no other horse, still havent mastered sitting to it!! as far as breeding goes, any pure breed sure be class as they are govement controled, she should have lines that trace back to the original 8 stallions. if you would like any more info feel free to pm.

One of mine is a BWB by a Belgian showjumper called Viscount Royale out of a TB mare. He looks almost full TB, and has TB neorotic temperament with a bit of WB nappiness thrown in for good measure! My favourite horse ever though.

The other is Hannovarian, by Lauries Crusador, a thoroughbred racehorse bought by the Germans to put some lightness into their breeding. He has the forward going bit from the TB, Hano movement, and no nappiness. He's lovely.

I like continental warmbloods with a lot of english thoroughbred in them - I think you get a true sports horse that could turn it's hand to anything.

bey kwpn WB

yo has iberian horses from spain from the bull fighters ring, so not bd more classical dressage with them.she does all sorts of equitation classes with them up and down the country.

Well I had an ex-racer that I competed to elementary. Now have a youngster that I have high hopes for. Bred as a showjumper (emillion/magic darco) but is about 3/4 warmblood (westphalian/kwpn/hanoverian) and 1/8 TB and 1/8 pony. Grandma was a 148 jumping pony that wont gold and silver at junior europeans. He is a super mover and a lovely person. A little on the sharp side but very much off the leg with a quick thinking brain.
