How big do you think he'll make? **pics**

Well one I'd like to ask how big you'll think he'll get and also what you think of him haha. He's currently standing at 13.2/14hands, he's only just turned one, he's a traditional cob x appaloosa (sp? lol), his mum was 15,3 and his dad was 15 but all the foals from the same parents were making a lot bigger for some reason. What do you think?

I have the same cross breed! but mine is a roany coloured and no where near as striking as yours! Mine is 2 now- He was 12.3hh at a year old and is 13.3hh at 2 years and 2 months- I am expecting him to finish at 14.0 to 14.1hh at maturity based on current growth rates. Yours is lovely! Although the arena fence does make him look alot smaller than 14hh. If he is at 12 months then probs 16hh? There are so many factors which can affect height its so hard to judge!

Awww thanks i love him to bits coz he is so good haha think ive been the luckiest owner ever haha but yh just thinking of a general idea because foals from the same parents have been so unpredictable x

He looks lovely. I remember being told in Ireland that if you measure a yearlings legs from the floor to the top of the leg and double it, that gives you their mature height. Never checked this myself so don't know how true it is, but might be worth a try.
