thats brilliant it all helps, her head is still quite big as if her body has not caught up with her yet, lol, everyone calls her a model because she has got quite long legs.
ahh well hopefully she is (as you say) a late bloomer and everything will catch up with her head and legs!
although some horses do have super legs and petite bodies (very model esq!) If she does end up like that you can call her Tyra, or Claudia or something!
One of the reasons I bought my then risin 4 yr old was he looked athletic, lovely long legs. (My last horse was a stonker, I loved her to bits but fancied something finer). He was about 15.3? At 6 he was starting to fill out and now hes a 16.2 stonker!!! Massive deep chest, 9.5 inches of bone and them long legs have gone!
really she has got a deep chest now, shes got 8.5 inches of bone, she does look athletic, but her temperment is fantastic, shes so good for a 4 year old.God i dont want her to get that big!!lol,i would love it if she made 15.3hh/16hh mark thats perfect.but no one controls nature.
Suppose it depends on her breed too, my boy is 5/8ths TB x ID x Shire. Mum was half TB x Half Shire. His brains are TB and his body more ID/Shire! He was very narrow and gangly when I got him. This was him at about 6/7 yrs old, hes a bit chunkier and fatter (shame) now.
hes gorgeous!!!she was very gangly when i first got her at 18 months old but has filled out massively since then but still very leggy, she is more tb than cob build wise but has become broader, like a tb to ride but has the sensible head of a cob if that makes sense?
Thanks, hes been hard work. At 4 we were hacking safely on roads and everything, now hes ....... quirky. He is half asleep most of the time but is so spooky. Suppose Ive answered my problem there lol. I love him to bits but sometimes he drives me mad
