How bigs she going to be?

After measuring my only just 2 year old today and found she had just hit 16hh, I'm only 5'4'' !! Her parents are both 16.2hh, she has grown so much in the past 2 months and increased in just over a rug size. I don't think she is going to stop near her parents height, so what height do you think she will make?? She is Hanoverian x Russian Warmblood so is yet to expand width ways as well

Thats exactly what I'm thinking, she has shot up this past year I went and saw her as a just yearling i guess she was about 14ish hands and again at a year and a half where she stood about 15hh. I was thinking she going to at least hit 17hh but knowing her shes gonna go against the grain and going to be bigger although she is pure black and will be stunning whatever she ends up.

A good guesstumate is to measure elbow to fetlock then flip it elbow to above the withers which is approx where her height will end up,quite reliable I have found

OP ifshe does get that big, which is what I was thinking, then she will be quite stunning

Suggested as a guesstumate by Ian Anderson Minster Vets in York I have used it several times and only been 1-2 inches out

My guess full grown she will be at least 17HH - could poss go to 17.1-2

My 2 year old measured in at 16HH on his 2nd birthday - all his full older siblings that I know of (except first foal) seem to be 17HH and 17HH++

Have you tried the string/rope test - fetlock to knee/knee to elbow/ or something like that (search on here for details of how to do - quite a few entries in breeding about what height a horse going to end up and ref to this test). I did it on my youngster a while back and gave myself a big fright!I Then went and did the same test on my old boy and a few other mature horses on the yard and it worked out to be spot on!

The day she arrived, excuse my face, shes grown a good half a hand if not more since this photo and for good measure a pic of her cuteness

I need to take some more recent pictures these dont do her justice with the winter coat.

If this is true my god she is going to be far more than i expected, shes pretty leggy at the moment and I guess that'd mean about another 1 1/2 to 2 hands. Thank god shes got a good brain on her if shes going to end up a lot bigger than thought. This photo gives you a bit of an idea of her legs after her mud wading into the shelter last week in the rain.
