How can I continue to encourage him?

It's been a slow burner but I think hubby to be is slowly and surely being bitten by the horsey bug :D

He's already helping with the oldies I groom and despite new mare stomping on his toe he still offers to bring in/turn out and even picked out her hooves last weekend! :)

He suffers from anxiety/panic attacks and today sent me a text saying how he'd been having a pretty major panic attack whilst on the train but as soon as he saw some horses in a field he felt instantly calm.

So how do I continue to encourage his new-found interest in horses? He says he doesn't want to ride "yet" so there's hope, but I don't want to rush him.

I think it is great that he is recognising the therapeutic effect of being around horses :) I shouldn't worry to push the riding particularly as he does suffer with panic attacks. He sounds to be enjoying the grooming/doing.

Horses are so good for people in so many ways. :) Don't push him, just ask him if he wants to come with you to the yard, if he'd like to walk so and so out in hand with you, that sort of thing. He may not want to ride, my hubby always refuses to ride but will handle my mare or my friend's horse without question.

Horses are good for the soul, regardless of whether you are on board or on the ground.
