My pony doesn't drink very much although she has a salt lick in her stable that she licks away at every day. Can anyone give me any advise on how i can encourage her to drink more?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I suppose i was just worried she wasn't drinking enough.
I ride her for about 45 mins, 4-5 days a week. She is quite fit but could be fitter.

I wouldn't give her electrolites- if she is dehydrated that will make it worse.

If she really isn't drinking enough you could add abit of fruit juice. She will be drinking enough unless she has a health problem TBH.

If she has a salt lick I wouldn't add any extra to her feed. Too much salt could make things much worse! I sometimes add a little sugar to a bucket of fresh water. It encourages the horse to drink lots. Just make sure there is also a bucket of clean, normal water available too!

But you dont say what you do? 45 minutes "hacking" around the school isnt the same as 45 minutes proper work.
Is she out in the field? If so she will be getting water from the grass etc!
