How can i get my hands on a racer?

Okay, there is a horse which i have been following since last summer when i placed a bet and she won.
I know who the owner and trainer are and ive looked at her record, she hasn't won much. 4y/o 3 jump runs, 23 flat runs.

Could i contact trainer and ask if there a chance shes for sale,or if she were to go up could i know? Obviously i cant afford much but i love the horse and with her record i though maybe she wouldnt last long in racing

If you can contact the trainer or owner I would do so. If they don't know that someone wants her, she might end up going back through the sales and selling for peanuts anyway if her record is poor. It's worth a try, they can only say no at worst!

No harm in asking.

If she isnt a great racer then the trainer and owner could well be happy for her to end her career and move on to a new job/home.
