My mare has 2 cuts on her legs, both hind legs, one where she scraped it on the trailer whilst loading :( and another on the other leg from a cut in the field but they scab over and the other one which is older seems to still be the same and the hair hasn't grown back and i don't really want this one doing the same. Can tips on what I could use? Sorry the picture isn't' clear but hopefully you get the idea.

I’m not sure you can encourage hair growth if the follicles in the skin aren’t there….sadly…as our newbie fell on her knees a week ago and left a stripe of black hair from one of her knees along the tarmac and I’m expecting a hairless scar. 🙁

There's nothing you can really do, it will either grow back or not. If it doesn't the surrounding hair may go some way towards covering the scar.
However, my last horse fell on his knees through baby clumsiness and left two white hair streaks along the road, it grew back just fine.

I often use cornucrescine on areas where the horses have nicked themselves. It won’t help if it’s scar tissue, but does seem to encourage growth quicker if the hair follicles haven’t been damaged beyond repair.
