his teeth are fine he came to me totally neglected he eats fine.. hes stil havin physion on his back thanks to his last owner ragging him all over but hes nt in any pain.. he goes lovely when we go any wher new i took him to the beach and he was fab! its just the same old he cnt be botherd with!

Iv never used oats how do you feed them?

Sounds like he's a bit bored in the school? Have you tried loose schooling, I love it and the horses seem to enjoy it too, even more when there's a jump up! It gives them a different experience of being in the school and can be a little more fun and exciting.

I took a cob hunting who is quite lazy in the school and on hacks... that seemed to perk him up somewhat!!

Maybe he is bored, but it is good you have already checked physical reasons.

I feed rolled oats, if you feed whole oats, they just come out the other end! Start with a handful at a time and give him a mineral lick too, covering all bases.

thers been a mineral lick in his stable for 5 months as well as a very tasty apple lickit and hes bothered with neither lol! may give rolled oats a go i know a lady on our yard uses them for her ID thanks

Ditto the above, I have a lazy TB dressage horse and this gives her exactly the right amount of energy without making her stupid
