I am desperately trying to find a way to stop my arena getting frozen during the winter weather, does anybody know of any covering that may stop the arena from freezing.

any ideas ..

Do you have more sand than rubber? if you do, the sand will freeze as it is more exposed. I have just laid rubber down, so have the rubber on the top and it has not frozen.
I have noticed the racecourses using a type of fibre netting, perhaps email Cheltenham or Ffos Las to ask where they get it from.
Good luck,
Bryndu

Mix with fibres and rubber... sand is useless in freezing weather. Woodchip is a good surface... I suppose you could mix the lot!

We had a woodchip in our last place and it was handy. Sand seems to freeze too easilly but woodchip held it off more. Was also better with heavy rain and flooding. From what i remember, the woodchip stayed fairly spongey.

Ours now is sand and unusable!

I guess the best option is to just get ourselvestan indoor! Hehe!
