How can people do this??? Another arson with pony fatalities

preferably in front of anyone that has been previously caught and convicted of arson as a warning to them

I know that it is a good job that the arsonist that killed my horse and others was never found as otherwise I'd be in jail for murder (but he'd be dead)

It breaks my heart to think how scared all those animals must have been. And the poor poor ponies!

Completely agree with you airedale, pour petrol on them, they don't deserve to be living, they are not god they don't control when things should die.

They will probably say it was an accident and they didn't mean for it to get that big!

Bastards - hope they rot in hell for what they have done. Those poor poor ponies. I don't know about setting light to them, give them 5 minutes alone with the owners of the animals who died. That would be true revenge.
 
Problem is there isn't a 'crime of passion' defence under english law - unlike french law - so the victims would goto jail whilst the arsonist got compensation for his injuries

That is so true. You may remember the mare in Staffs whose leg was practically cut off with a machete or similar? Two people have been arrested and they are seeking two more as well. Most they are likely to be charged with is criminal damage. Not unnecessary suffering or anything like that. Doesn't make any sense. We are doing everything to try to get this changed.

And you are right about the compensation too...
 
even worse is that if you suffer mental problems - clinically diagnosed and treated - e.g. depression - after something like this - the Criminal Injuries Compensation Board will pay out NOTHING as - and I quote - "horses are a possession - like a TV and so you cannot suffer 'injury' from their loss"

i.e. you can only suffer bereavement from losing a human being relation and not an animal 'relation'.

Airedale that is truly shocking and disgusting - I am so so sorry for your loss (just saw your earlier post on here). And to receive correspondence like that beggars belief. Do these people not have feelings and live and breathe like the rest of us? How the hell can anybody compare the tragic loss of a horse (or any animal come to that) to losing a TV?

As you say, the law truly is an ass...
 
So many sick people in this world. I wish penalties were more severe for all crime in this country. I am sick of hearing about what nasty people are doing to animals, children, and people in general. A sick world we live in. Poor Ponies
 
That is awful , i just dont get these sick individuals, i hope they rot in hell, for me these sicko's should have done to them what they did to the animal, they dont deserve to live quite frankly!
