Millie is in the doghouse.

I've been upstairs for the last 3/4 of an hour doing bits and bobs.

I've come downstairs to find Millie shredding and plucking the £60, shipped in from New Zealand, real wool slippers that I bought OH for xmas, which he loves.

One slipper/shoe is completely wrecked. I'm not ashamed to say that, because I caught her in the act, I smacked her quite hard.

It wasn't as if they were lying around either, they were upstairs, put away up on some drawers, so she stole them as well as wrecked them.

Surely she should be coming out of the shredding age? She's 18months. 2 cushions have been wrecked recently too.

Naughty dog! She's asleep on the sofa squished up next to me, saying sorry I think.
 
Oh dear, I would have smacked her bottom too:D I have a puppy currently mothing a shoe, Im too lazy to get off the chair to stop her:o mind u if theyr where £60 I would be up like a shot:rolleyes::D
Age is irrelivant when it comes to chewing expensive objects:rolleyes::D:D:D:D:D I bet if u put a large kong down with a juicy filling she would still chew your best gear:rolleyes:
 
The problem is the dog doesn't know the difference between a slipper and a soft toy :( I only give my dogs hard toys to play with so I can tell them off for chewing anything soft ;)

At least it was only slippers - mine used to steal electrical appliances! We lost 2 toasters, 2 kettles and a george forman!

Mine grew out of it by 3 but I found the only way to stop him was to dog proof the room. Leave him alone and bored and he amused himself. BIG bones from the butchers works ;)
 
mine after being a angel for 5months of being left out of her crate while we were out has reverted to chewing things, thankfully all of the items were my OHs lol the final straw was when she chewed his smoking pipe haha which i found hilarious imagining her sat there with the pipe in her mouth ... needless to say shes back to being in her crate when we go out lol
