Our pony was imported into the UK from Auction in August 2007. He came with full vetting and passport along with 15 Irish Show Jumping Points which I believe amounts to £37.50 in uk terms.

Do you know if there is anyway that you can trace your ponies background. I would love to know.

He is classed as a Irish Sports Horse but we have been told time and time again that he is a Conemara.

Any advice would be appreciated.
Thank you

His name: An Currach Mor Piobar.

I have traced him on the SJ website and have discovered that he actually has 24 points not the 15 stated on his passport - not sure what that now means for us in affiliated terms.

His rider was: Rhona Liddy from Westmeath Pony Club. I think her home town is Curraghmore, Mullinger Co. Westmeath. The owner was Michael Liddy.

He was jumping 148cm height with her - can that be right - that seems extremely high?? I mean dont get me wrong - he really can jump but 148!!!

I have emailed the pony club to see if they will forward my email to Rhona - I really want to trace her as would love to speak to her about our gorgeous pony.

If you have any ideas though or have heard of him - please shout.

Go into www.sjai.ie and you can do an online search for him

What a dumbo - I thought that but then when you clicked on the competition details it said Fence Height 148cm. Which I guess does mean height suitable for a pony.

Yes it says 148d 148CD 148D American Style.

Honestly, please forgive me, I am a bit naive in this horsey business.

I've cut and pasted this from one of the ponies comps and check out the fence height:

it's an error, trust me! It's the new points database has mucked up, I checked my old ponies, all down as horses (all ponies) and with record s similar.
148d's are 95cm pony comps., 148cd's, 1.05m pony comps, h/o and I will find one of my old ponies record.
