How cheap to sell a good horse quickly, but not attract numbskulls?

I have a lovely gelding for sale, uncomplicated, good hacker, lovely to do and nice pop and lovely dressage but I need to get him sold quickly, but I don't want just any old idiot coming to buy him - so whats the ideal price?

He's a 16.1 TB 7 year old. Fabby in every way, no drawbacks only that I need to sell him soon - he is really lovely, but had limited interest.

General schooling/hacking horse- £2000-£3000
SJ/XC horse- £3500-£5000

but I don't know your horse so it obviously depends on his schooling, experience, whether he hacks out. I'm not great at prices either, sorry lol

nothing is selling for any sort of decent price at the moment, credit crunch plus rain definately seems to be stopping play!!!!! :-(
My beautifulcoloured is up for much less than he is worth due to the current market.
