How could you resist?

I read up to "tempted" and then opened the link.... looked for another picture and thought "what? where's this amazingly stunning horse I was supposed to see..." Ah! ha ha! :D Very odd!

I went to see this horse last week

Turns out this pic taken several years ago, owner now in ill health and horse looks like something from black beauty (you know the bit where ginger is taken away on a cart) the same advertiser is offering a nice gelding but when you get there you are told it has a cataract and has had sarcoids removed.
What a waste of time and diesel.
Why cant advertisers be honest

At least no one going to see this girlie will be disappointed! Surely anything has to be a bonus :p

We ought to run a competition for the worst possible photo in an ad. My favorite are when the photo is a group of horses in rugs in a field and you have to guess which one it is that's for sale!!

A few months ago I saw an ad on a facebook horse group of a pony knee-deep in mud, in a full-neck rug, with it's head in a feed bucket :confused:

I can do better.

I saw one a few months ago on Gumtree advertising a horse for sale that only had a pencil sketch of a cartoon horse. I mean, what? Who does that?

Personally, I think the photo in the first ad was rather appropriate. After all, a nice set of ears is essential as it's all you see when you're riding the horse! :D

Ha ha ha I'd love to buy a cartoon horse. Would be awfully disappointed if it didn't fit the pic.
Good point littleblackmule. They do look like nice relaxed ears it has to be admitted!

I needed a pair of binoculars to see my lad on his advert TBH. Ridden but in the middle of a field and a speck of flax chestnut. I think it was more his owner being reluctant to sell but couldnt afford a field ornament - glad I took a look - he was a scruffy little underweight chap in his full winter coat but has turned out to be perfect for me -

... Phone sent too early .. I keep in touch with his previous owner and update about his progress - there must have been plenty if people pass over his ad because of the pic - i'm pleased that they did :-D
