Sometime today Bomber managed to catch one of the leg straps of his rug in his rear shoe on the same side as the strap, break the strap and then wriggle out of the entire rug, leaving the other strap, sursingles and chest straps done up.

Without injuring himself thank goodness!

I can't imagine how he did it

Nah someone felt sorry for your horse being rugged in this lovely sunshine weather we are having at the moment and took your horses rug off and broke the strap on purpose so you couldnt put it on again !!

Possibly - but did they have to wedge the broken strap between his foot and the heel of the shoe? It took ages to get it out again!

I know how you feel, the mind boggles as to how they have managed it. Syd broke the tail strap of his full neck rug a few weeks ago, the rug must have blown up or something because I found it in a neat heap inside out with belly, chest and neck clips still done up.

Thomas Tank, it was gale force winds and rain up here from mid morning, enjoy the sunshine while it lasts.

I havent seen the sun since last summer !! same weather here too. Hope they dont give us another hose pipe ban this year !!

I have visions of horses over the country carefully stepping out of their rugs like we would a polo neck dress

Still it only took a tiny bit of baler twine to fix the whole rug - and a mint for him for being such a careful money saving boy

the same way Dan can undo a horse proof top bolt a bottom kick bolt AND a chain before going walkies for several hours round the stable barn tipping over multiple feed bins full of feed eating a large amount of its contents, throw head collars everywhere (normally all nicely hung up on pegs) lp*ss off all the rest of the 14 horses whose feed he was eating, leave his own feed bags (cleved s o d) and not wake up the YO and family under 100m away and also get away scot free without colic.

In otherwords by way of a small blooming miracle!!!

That's a good image but I spent last week having a daily stuggle to get out of an jerkin type anorak, cursing as I pulled lumps of hair out every time! Just glad Bomber and Syd managed to do it safely.
