Today i decided to 'clear out' all my bits and bobs! It is scattered all over - 'Out for the day' stuff in my spare room - an old toy box full of bits and odd bits of tack going mouldy n the shed - a chest freezer at the yard full of 'things i, or horse might need' and a pallet in the container at the yard with rugs and yet more 'things we may need' Now, i had every good intention of having a good clear out but the only thing in the bin is an old broken head collar as past experience has shown me if i throw it out i will need it next month. So although it is now tidy it is no smaller!!!! Hey Ho!!!

I have the same problem

Crate at yard with stuff I need
Grooming box
2 x crates at home, in garage
and that excludes 4 x rugs, and old saddle and travelboots
saddle and bridle at yard along with 2 rugs
2 more bridles at home !!

All for 1 horse that never goes or does anything except hack !!!

I did the same yesterday but I did throw away a load of old overreach boots. Then later I thought I might have to check they really were worn out enough to throw away! Chucked out some old draw reins that I prob will never use again and a rope with a broken clip (Kept for tying round gates if the catch breaks!!)
I also threw away an old brushing boot- didnt have the pair- but you never know when a spare might be needed!!! Decided that as I have at least ten pairs I really could throw one boot away!!

Couldnt bring myself to throw away anything else though!!

I have a garage full of bl**dy horse stuff......so the car has to stay outside.....I have managed to fill every crook and cranny that was allocated to me at the yard, and If hear any murmur of I should take my over spill of horse bits to a horsey carboot sale.......then forget it I love hoarding!

I had a good clear out last Autumn and then cleaned and sold all the stuff that I didn't need. I raised a small fortune which paid for a load of bedding, so it was well worth it. Just had to be very strict about what I did and didn't need!

If I see something at the right price I buy it...because it will be handy to have a spare to replace the current one if it breaks.......thing is it never breaks

LOL! Well I am feeling very virtuous, because I've been listing stuff on ebay to SELL!

Trouble is, I have also just been shopping for three days solid at Burghley, and bought two of everything!
