Hi all

So you may remember my thread: "What am I meant to do with this"

http://www.horseandhound.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?630527-What-am-I-meant-to-do-with-this-!

and I wasn't sure whether to post about this or not as I don't usually, but I'd like to update you on our event! We went to SJ/XC event where you jump a course of 9 show jumps and then straight onto the XC course. My main horse I was competing is on rest so I decided to compete my cob. She hasn't had any XC practice for over a year and hasn't SJ since March. I don't have a school at home but put up a couple of home made jumps. I jumped her once last week then hasn't done any jumping for a couple of months. Anyway, pictures!

In the SJ phase:

This skinny then went onto a sharp turn into a double, I was a bit scared of this as she's a big girl (but only 14.3hh!)

She likes jumping but you do need to hold her together so she picks her feet up, else he just knocks things so you really need to ride her

All clear on the SJ (phew!) now onto XC...

These are the only pics I really have of XC:

So we went clear :) I was really, really pleased with her she's a star! I then waited for the results and couldn't believe it!! WE WON!! So, so proud of her. Thought some of you may like an update and see the outcome of your suggestions on hog her, what a smart looking girl :)

Thank you all for your kind replies, we did have so much fun! I only ever enter for fun and if we go safely round I'm happy, if we go clear and safe I'm super happy! I've never really shown her, do you think I should start?
