How did the rural riders get on?

Looking at the individual results they are not terribly good. Shame Bonny Bank Jay Jay had 11 faults Sj. Also surprised Foxcourt Abbeys dressage was so bad.
I do not think they chose a terribly strong team and not at all surprised by Blue II results.

thxs for asking as i was interested
mmmm IMO i think good result as it not just a straight forward comp as europeans do have the edge over drilled dressage compared with GB

It looks like the XC was easy and there plenty of emphasis on the dressage and SJing. Our team didn't jump well as we were less than a mark behind bronze after XC.

I have a feeling 2 years ago the xc was soft as well! Maybe they should hold it at Blair next time!! Maybe that will stop it being a dressage competition.

They didnt do well because they didnt have Sanita in the team!

you took word out of my mouth there BB!!!!
At weekend having a chat about comp with our chef d'equipe and abroad they do alot more drill riding than we do and they use warmblood which do have a more similar pacing abiltiy(and that is the real key to RR test) than our TBX's, not saying we're bad, but they have had more prastice which is different

and after this weekend defo can see were she's coming from

AQbroad it is eveidently what a lot of the continentals do from a young age. Part of their education is to be able to do these drill rides and as such they are as practiced in these as we are in normal dressage tests. Saying that the team were no that hot on the individual dressage either.
